Bryce Bogie, Msc

Bryce Bogie is an MD/PhD student in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He is currently completing his PhD in Neuroscience in the Cognitive Remediation and Neuroimaging Lab under the supervision of Dr. Synthia Guimond. Bryce has previously earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour with a Minor in Biochemistry (2017) and a Master of Science degree in Neuroscience (2019), both from McMaster University. His previous graduate-level research under the co-supervision of Dr. Benicio Frey and Dr. Flávio Kapczinski focused on investigating the explicit emotional memory profiles of major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder during clinical remission. Bryce also has previous research experience in medical education, focusing on supervisor competence and program development in psychiatry. Bryce’s current research focus involves investigating the effect of cognitive remediation therapy on cognition and neural activity in major depressive disorder and schizophrenia. Outside of school, Bryce enjoys spending time with friends, exploring Ottawa, and watching football (go Giants!).
