Emma Wilkinson

Emma is a full-time research assistant in the Cognitive Remediation and Neuroimaging Lab. She graduated from Queen’s University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology. Her undergraduate research focused on using a newly developed virtually reality software to explore the impacts of certain features of virtual reality on dyadic conversation and relationship dynamics. Emma has also gained valuable experience working as a full-time research assistant in the Cognition in Psychological Disorders Lab at Queen’s University during which she was a primary facilitator of several studies exploring cognitive functioning in major depressive disorder and schizophrenia and psychotic-spectrum disorders as well as various interventions that target cognition to promote functional recovery. Emma is passionate about advancing understandings of cognition and treatment in schizophrenia and psychotic-spectrum disorders through innovative technologies. She hopes to continue contributing to research that fosters preventative, accessible, and efficacious therapeutic approaches for individuals facing cognitive impairments. Outside of the lab, Emma is a lover of a good hike, appreciator of local live music, and yoga enthusiast!
